Product description: Lord Krishna is known for many mischievous acts during his childhood and the statue depicts one of Krishna’s favorite act of stealing butter from the villagers and Gopis of Vrindavan. Hence he is called a butter thief (makhan chor). The statue depicts baby Krishna with a tilted butter pot seated on a swing supported by pillars, kirtimukha and rested peacocks atop with hanging bells at the sides. Another peacock is also present on the pedestal near the pillar. The red coral and turquoise inlay on Krishna and pillars certainly enhances the appearance of the jhoola (swing), and Butter Krishna on swing is one of our most beautiful jhoolas from our collections.
