Product description: The lamp is a traditional Lotus lamp made in South India with a Lotus atop, and has a five wick deepam plate. The Lotus attached to the deepam plate, the designs on the stem of the lamp and the bottom circular plate has been given great attention to bring out the fine details of the lamp. The fine designs, and the leafy floral patterns throughout the lamp gives it a very beautiful appearance. The deepam plate in the lamp is filled with oil or ghee, and a wick (strands of thread or cotton) is placed inside to light the lamp. In Hinduism, lighting the lamp symbolizes the removal of darkness and brings good fortune in one's life.
