Product description: Nataraja is Lord Shiva, one of the most powerful Hindu Gods in his cosmic dance form, and the name Nataraja in sanskrit means "Lord of the Dance". The statue depicts Lord Nataraja in a blazing fire circle called the prabha mandala, and standing on the demon Apasmara, on a double lotus pedestal. The attributes of Lord Shiva such as the River Ganges flowing from his hair, a crescent shaped moon, Vilvam leaves, serpents tied in different parts of his body, a small drum called Damaru in his upper right hand, Agni or Fire in his upper left hand, and lower right hand showing the Abhaya mudra (meaning fearlessness) are given great attention, indeed a true representation of Lord Nataraja. The combination of copper and natural brass finish brings out a blazing flaming effect, and shows the divine aura of the statue.
