Product description: Shiva, also known as Mahadeva, is one of the principal deities in Hinduism, along with Lord Brahma the creator, and Lord Vishnu the protector. Mrityunjaya Shiva (Mrityu in Sanskrit means “death”, and jaya means “victory”)is a form of Shiva as the destroyer of death, which is explained in the story of Markandeya where Shiva kills Yama (God of death) to protect his ardent devotee Markandeya. Mrityunjaya mantra is one of the most powerful mantras in Hinduism found in Rig Veda is dedicated to Lord Shiva, often chanted for healing incurable diseases, spiritual well-being and liberation from the cycle of birth and death. People believe that regular recitation of this mantra can bestow divine blessings, and protect the chanter from the fear of death. This mantra is also called Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, or Rudra Mantra, or Tryambakam Mantra.  This form represents Shiva in deep meditation that proves his mastery in yogic skills.

The bronze Shiva is depicted in a dynamic sitting pose with eight arms embodying both grace and power. His four arms extend outwards and raised above his head, with each pair of hands holding a pot. He holds two pots in each of his front arms, and the side arms holds a rosary, and shows a mudra that convey cosmic energy and divine blessings. The face of Shiva has a gentle and enigmatic smile that shows his benevolence and compassion, yet reflecting the powerful countenance of Lord Shiva. His third eye, a symbol of wisdom and perception beyond ordinary sight, is intricately etched on the forehead. Shiva is adorned with rudra mala, a serpent coiled around his neck cascading down his broad shoulders, and a crescent moon atop his head, the sculpture captures the divine presence in every detail. The profound facial expression, and hand gestures not only enhance the visual appeal but deepen the spiritual significance of the statue. The warm bronze patina gives a refined elegance to the statue, radiates a timeless allure that invites contemplation. The bronze Shiva statue typically embodies the essence of divinity and artistic mastery, and is one of a kind statue made using the lost-wax method; an expert craftsmanship by our South Indian bronze artisan.
