Product description: The bronze statue portrays the Buddha seated on a three-tier coil throne of the king serpent Muchalinda protecting the Buddha from heavy rainstorm. Buddha’s hands are in Dhyana mudra (Mudra of meditation) and seated in Ardha padmasana position (one leg is folded and resting on the ground, while the other leg is folded with the foot in lotus position). The face of the Buddha has a calm expression, and the details of the statue represents the Bayon style; an iconographic attribute common during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. The expression of Naga Buddha is beautifully captured, and the antique patina enhances the aesthetic beauty of the statue highlighting the fine workmanship by our artisans of Cambodia.
