Product description: Lord Krishna, son of Vasudeva and Devaki, incarnated as the ninth avatar of Lord Vishnu to destroy evil and preach Dharma. He is the god of compassion and love and worshipped by his devotees as the supreme god. Krishna stands in a graceful tribhanga posture, a standing dance posture typically of Odissi ( an Indian classical dance). Tribhanga means, the body is curved at three different parts namely neck, waist and knee, where the neck and waist are curved in opposite direction which shows the body posture in a “S” curve. Krishna stands with his knees bent and legs crossed playing his flute. The face of Krishna has a pleasing countenance with a gentle smile, his eyes sparkle with wisdom and compassion, radiating divine beauty and grace. The circular floral halo at the back of the crown, the hanging clothes of krishna, and jewelry adds to the overall charm of the statue. The base has floral motifs which is intricately carved, and the brown green patina is incredibly captivating giving the sculpture an ethereal glow. The statue is indeed a graceful representation of Krishna in Tribhanga pose.
