Brass statue care

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc.  Brass is a hard metal that withstands all weather conditions and is very durable and highly corrosion resistant. The high malleability of brass makes it an easy metal for casting.

Brass statues require minimum care with periodic dusting using a soft cloth, and occasional cleaning with warm soap water is also recommended to remove dust and prevent tarnishing. After the cleaning process, dry the statue to apply a thin coat of any natural oil by gently rubbing it throughout the statue with a soft cloth in order to maintain luster. Repeating this process a few times in a year helps maintain the brass statue clean, and preserve its shine.

Please note that statues with inlay and color finishes can be cleaned with a damp soft cotton cloth to remove dirt and no additional care is required.
