Product description: Green Tara is a female bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism; one of the most important and popular deities in Tibetan Buddhism. Tara is considered to be the embodiment of feminine wisdom and compassion and is revered as a powerful Goddess who can help her devotees overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Green Tara, is associated with the color green, which symbolizes the active and peaceful nature of her compassion. The statue of  Green Tara is often depicted in a seated posture with one leg extended, ready to leap into action to help those who call upon her. Each of her hand holds the stem of a Utpala or blue lotus flower which represents her purity and enlightenment, with her right hand in varada mudra, the gesture of granting wishes, and her left hand in abaya mudra, the gesture of granting refuge and protection. The Utpala or blue lotus rises up to both her shoulders which symbolizes wisdom. Tara is wearing a crown adorned with precious jewels which symbolize her spiritual wealth and power. The face of Green Tara is beautiful with a serene expression showing her enlightened nature and her willingness to assist those who call upon her. Buddhists believe that by reciting her mantra, one can cultivate compassion, wisdom, and spiritual strength. The copper statue of Green Tara is handcrafted, hand-painted by our skilled artisans that exemplifies the craftsmanship, and reflect the rich cultural traditions of Nepal.
