Product description: Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is a bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism. Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who have chosen to remain in the cycle of birth and death to help all sentient beings achieve enlightenment. There are many forms of Avalokiteshvara, and the four armed Chenrezig is the most common one. Chenrezig is known for his compassion, and is considered the embodiment of compassion of all the Buddhas. According to Buddhist tradition, Chenrezig has the ability to hear the cries of all beings in the world, and is able to manifest in countless forms in order to help and guide beings towards enlightenment. The statue of Chenrezig is depicted in padmasana pose with four arms; his front pair of arms holds a crystal jewel in Manidhara mudra, and his rear hands holds a rosary and a lotus. He wears a crown adorned with jewelries, and the face of Chenrezig is beautiful with a gentle smile and has a peaceful expression. His upper part of the body is covered with the skin of antelope, and the face of antelope is seen on the sides of his left chest. In Tibetan Buddhism, Chenrezig is revered the patron deity of Tibet, and Chenrezig practice is often invoked in prayers and meditation for developing a strong foundation in meditation and compassion. The copper statue of Chenrezig is handcrafted by our skilled artisans that exemplifies the craftsmanship, and reflect the rich cultural traditions of Nepal.
