Product description: The detailed wood carving celebrates Lord Murugan and the six sacred abodes known as the Arupadai Veedu. The expansive panel brings together the six pilgrimage shrines of Murugan presented as a harmonious sequence of richly carved temple-inspired settings. Each sacred scene is framed within its own traditional arch, with intricately carved pillars, floral motifs, decorative borders, and finely rendered Yali lions creating the appearance of a series of miniature temple sanctums. Murugan and the accompanying deities are portrayed with carefully defined ornaments, crowns, garments, and traditional attributes, giving each section its own visual character. The elaborate outer frame continues the temple aesthetic with flowing floral and vine patterns, while the raised central crest features two beautifully carved peacocks flanking the sacred Vel, adding a distinctive touch to the composition. The deep relief work creates layers of architectural detail and gives the figures and ornamentation a graceful sense of depth. More than a decorative wall panel, this carving brings together the spiritual significance, temple style designs, and artistic heritage associated with Murugan worship in a single expansive work of wood art. Its long format makes it particularly suited to a prominent wall, prayer space, meditation area, or a collection devoted to South Indian sacred art. Read more about Arupadaiveedu.
