Product description: The cow is said to be an auspicious symbol in Hinduism, and is associated with several Gods, namely Lord Shiva’s vahana is Nandi (The Bull), Lord Indra’s cow called Kamadhenu, a miraculous wish-granting cow which is also known as Surabhi, and Lord Krishna who spent his youth with cows, and is called a cow herder. Many Goddesses are also associated due to the maternal attributes of the cow, and the veneration of cow became most important due to the five products that are widely used by the people for many years; the five products are namely milk, butter, curd, urine, and dung. Hence the cow and the calf are sacred and worshipped by the Hindus, and believed to have the existence of many Gods and Goddesses in a cow. The brass statue portrays a cow and a calf on a oval base, and the calf is milking from the cow. The statue has lots of intricate details throughout, and is engraved with figurines of Ganesh and Lakshmi.  The face of the cow has a calm expression, and the statue certainly looks splendid and gives a divine feeling. Cows do not have separate temples but are worshipped on all auspicious occasions as an earthly embodiment of the divine mother. Indeed a beautiful statue of a cow and a calf with details abound.
