Product description: The kavadi, or temple structure style wood panel with multiple tiers, is an ornate piece of devotional art that beautifully combines the spiritual intensity of kavadi traditions with the aesthetic elegance of classical woodcraft. The carving resembles miniature temple entrance architecture and prominently features Goddess Lakshmi at its center. She is depicted seated in padmasana pose, exuding a serene, smiling expression. Lakshmi has four arms; her rear hands holds lotus flowers, while her front right hand is in abhaya mudra with coins flowing, and left hand in varada mudra. The holy pots called kalasam is placed on either side of Lakshmi. Lakshmi is adorned with a richly detailed crown, elaborate jewelry, garlands, and attention to all details are intricately chiseled to emphasize her divine royalty. The traditional South Indian style temple pillars and Yalis (mythical lion-like creatures) flank the deity, and the panel lead upward to a temple tower at the top with a celestial motif, and a kirtimukha face above Lakshmi. The panel stands on sturdy legs that are firmly grounded, with peacocks perched on each leg. Their heads are turned gracefully, necks arched, and feathers finely detailed with delicate veining, adding a regal charm to the composition. The peacock, symbolizing divine beauty, grace, and protection, is also the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Murugan. The natural beauty of the wood grain, its inviting smooth texture, and the premium finish all enhance the warmth and visual appeal of the kavadi.
