Product description: This exquisite wood carving of Shrinathji, the child form of Lord Krishna is a masterwork of craftsmanship. Shrinathji stands in his iconic pose, with his left hand raised gracefully, holding the Govardhan Hill, and his right hand resting on his waist, with divine confidence. His face is serene and expressive with a gentle smile, and his delicately carved half closed, almond-shaped eyes seem to follow the viewer with gentle compassion. The tilaka on his forehead, his identity as the beloved deity of the Pushtimarg tradition is etched with precision. Every part of his royal attire, is finely detailed in the carving, with intricate patterns etched into the wood to mimic silk folds and embroidery. His jewelry including necklaces, armlets, and anklets are carved in high relief, catching light and shadow with remarkable depth, almost bringing the wood to life. His elaborate crown adorned with peacock feathers rising majestically above his head, is skillfully rendered. The panel border features a floral creeper with leaves and buds, and a pair of cows and a lotus present at the base symbolizes purity and transcendence. The wood carving is a typical Nathdwara Pichwai Style Art, which evokes devotion and invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and feel the divine presence of Shrinathji.
