Product description: The bronze Hevajra is depicted in a dynamic standing pose with nine faces and sixteen arms, and two legs. Each face represents different aspects of enlightenment, and each arm symbolizes his ability to perform various enlightened activities. Hevajra is wearing a dhoti with elaborate patterns, and richly adorned with jewelry, such as crowns, earrings, necklaces, armlets, and anklets, symbolizing his royal and divine nature. The central, primary face is seen with an intense expression, symbolizing the fierce compassion required to overcome ignorance and delusion. Eight other faces are arranged around the primary one, typically in two tiers, facing in different directions. Each face may have distinct expressions representing various aspects of Hevajra’s nature, from wrathful to serene, highlighting his mastery over different cosmic energies. The sixteen arms are often depicted in a fan-like arrangement, each arm holds various ritual objects, such as vajras (thunderbolts), skull cups (kapalas) filled with offerings, and other tantric symbols, representing different powers. His front hands holds a lotus symbolizing purity and spiritual unfoldment, and an Indic god. This detailed and multifaceted depiction of Hevajra is intended to convey profound spiritual truths and serve as a powerful focus for meditation and ritual practices in the Tantric Buddhist tradition. The contrasting hues of black and golden yellow adds to its visual appeal enhancing the aesthetic beauty of the statue, highlighting the fine workmanship by our artisans of Cambodia.
