Product description: A beautiful hand-carved Balinese sculpture of Lord Rama and Sita Devi, carved from hibiscus wood. Its natural sage-green grain gives the piece a soft, living glow. Lord Rama stands tall and serene, holding his great bow with a quiver of arrows at his back, his gaze tenderly lowered toward Sita. Sita leans gracefully beside him, one hand raised in a gentle gesture, the other resting near the golden deer at her side. The deer recalls the pivotal episode of the epic Ramayana, and Sita’s longing for the enchanted golden deer. Both figures wear the tall, flame-like ornamental crowns that define classical Balinese royal and dance iconography. They are adorned with finely carved necklaces, armbands, layered sashes and flowing garments that cascade down to a swirling, wave-like base. The elongated forms, slender limbs and expressive posture reflect the elegance of traditional Balinese wood carving, where every curve shows movement and devotion. With the smooth texture and gentle green-to-honey hues unique to hibiscus wood, this statue is a distinctive presence wherever it is placed, and a gift of lasting meaning for any occasion.
