Product description: A beautiful hand-carved wooden statue from the island of Bali, where Shiva is revered as Batara Siwa, is depicted seated in a meditative cross-legged pose, his eyes lowered in quiet contemplation and his face carved with the gentle, graceful features typical of Balinese temple art. He wears a tall tiered crown with flared ornaments and detailed earrings, along with a layered collar, armbands, bracelets and a flowing sash. A protective Kala face decorates his waistband, a classic Balinese motif believed to guard against negative energy. The deity is shown with four arms. His upper hands raise a battle axe and a flaming trident, symbols of his power to cut through ignorance and destroy evil. His front hands are joined at the heart, holding a sacred vessel (kamandalu) of holy water, which represents purification, renewal and the blessings he bestows on devotees. An arched carved with layered flame and foliage patterns, framing the figure like a temple gateway. The statue rests on a tall double lotus pedestal with deeply carved petals and floral work, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. Finished in a rich warm brown, it is well suited to a home altar, meditation room, yoga studio or living space as a centerpiece of devotion and art.
