Product description: Lord Ganesh, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is revered as the elephant head god with human body. He is worshipped for wisdom, success and to remove all obstacles and difficulties in one’s life. Lord Ganesh is the “Hindu God of beginnings" and honored at the start of all rituals, business or any new beginnings. The bronze statue depicts Maha Ganapathi seated on an inverted lotus in lalitasana pose ( (one leg folded inwards and the other leg hanging down). The upper two hands of Ganesh are holding an ankusha (goad) and a pasha (noose). His lower right hand is holding his broken tusk, and a sweet delicacy (ladoo) is held in his lower left hand. The trunk of Ganesh is curved at the end to the left of Ganesh holding a kalasam. Ganesh is seated in a kind gesture, and his face has a divine expression. The vahana of Ganesh, the mouse is present near him with the head upright and hands holding a delicacy as offering to the Lord. There are two serpents tied around his fat pot belly. Ganesh is adorned with artistically detailed clothing, and jewelry from head to toe. The prabhavali (arch ) of Ganesh is removable from the base, and has stunning details with two beautiful peacocks one on each side at the start of the arch, and multiple floral flame like patterns throughout the arch giving the statue a splendid appearance. Indeed a resplendent statue of Ganesha with details abound. The statue of bronze Maha Ganapathi is one of a kind statue made using the lost-wax method; an expert craftsmanship by our South Indian bronze artisan.
