Product description: Lord Ganesh is worshipped for wisdom, success and good fortune. The statue depicts Lord Ganesh seated on a pedestal in a full lotus position (Padmasana yoga pose) with marching mice aureole. There is a kalasam (holy pot) and a mouse (his vahana) present in front of Ganesh on the pedestal. Lord Ganesh is also called as Mooshika vahana as he rides on a mouse which is said to be his vahana (vehicle). Ganesh has a decorative ornament on his forehead similar to nettipattam( ornament worn by elephants on forehead during festivals in Kerala), his own broken tusk in lower right hand and holds a sweet ball in his lower left hand. The upper two hands holds an ankusha (goad) and a pasha (noose). Indeed an enticing statue of Ganesh in a reddish brown and silver tone finish; One of my favorite Ganesh statues from our collections.
