Product description: Goddess Saraswathi is the consort of Brahma the creator, and is worshipped as the Goddess of learning, wisdom, speech, music and art. The brass statue depicts goddess Saraswathi in lalitasana pose (one leg folded inwards and the other leg hanging down). She is adorned with beautiful ornaments and seated on a Swan (her vehicle) and hence the name “Hamsavahini” meaning one who rides on a Swan. The swan is standing on a rectangle sturdy base, and the face of Saraswathi has a peaceful smiling expression. Her upper two hands are holding a parrot, and palm leaf script, and her lower hands holds the Veena. Certainly a beautiful statue of Saraswathi in an antique fine finish.
