Product description: Rama and Sita, the divine couple of the Ramayana, stand together in a moment of quiet tenderness, carved in relief inside a block of crocodile wood. Rama reaches gently toward Sita as she turns to him with a soft smile. Together they show the devotion and faithfulness that define their story. The figures are carved in the classical Balinese style, with tall ornate crowns, flowing ceremonial garments, and fine patterns across every fold of fabric. The smooth, warm-toned interior contrasts with the wood’s natural outer bark, which is left in its rugged, corky state. The result looks as if the scene was discovered inside the living tree. Each crocodile wood carving is one of a kind; the bumpy surface of the outer bark, and the wood grain makes every piece unique.
