Product description: Lord Krishna, son of Vasudeva and Devaki, incarnated as the ninth avatar of Lord Vishnu to destroy evil and preach Dharma. He is the god of compassion and love and worshipped by his devotees as the supreme god. The brass statue portrays Lord Krishna in black color, and the name Krishna, Shyama means black. Krishna stands in a graceful tribhanga posture, a standing dance posture typically of Odissi ( an Indian classical dance). Tribhanga means a body curved at three different parts namely neck, waist and knee which shows the body posture in a “S” curve. The neck, and waist are curved in opposite direction, and Krishna stands with his knees bent and crossed legged playing his flute. The Krishna’s face looks divine radiating a positive energy, and standing in a tribhanga posture. The statue has a circular floral halo at the back of the crown, and the hanging vastram ( clothes ) of krishna, and jewelry are elegantly designed. The inverted lotus base with florals on which Krishna is standing is intricately carved and looks beautiful. The statue is indeed a graceful representation of Krishna in black.
